Nitin Sawhney - the Legend

This is transforming into a misuc blog... ;)

Actually, there is a album by Bob Marley titled "The Legend" - his greatest hits.. bit my legend, my greatest legend is Nitin Sawhney... (www.nitinsawhney.com). This guy is terrific.. unbelievable! What deep words and sounds about migration, violence, development etc. in his music.. his albums (Beyond Skin, Prophesy, Human, Philtre, Spirit Dance, Migration, Displace the Priest, etc.) cannot be ranked, because they are all as great and better than each other at the same time.. but see him life! I saw him twice in London (once in Hackney, the second time I forgot where), and the concerts even beat the albums, as they have an excellent juxtaposition of visuals with sound.. hard to believe.. you oughta see him..!

Here is a sample of his music (a video I found on Youtube).. enjoy!! Music is my world, my refuge, my soul asylum..!

Mayur Marcel Nijhawan, born 29 Jan 2005

OK, before I start with posts about Society and the World in general... this post is in honor of my nephew Mayur.. isn't he the cutest??

And here you see a video, how he gets along with Shankar, my parents' small kitten (he is actually more than three years old!)...

Update.. sorry, the video was too l
arge... I will sort out how to compress it and post it here! SItting on our dining table (this would have been impossible a couple of years ago, when the "you will never get pets from us" prevailed at our home --> so we had to get them on our own! ;-) )

here's a pic of SHankar with my mother, when he received free Hindi Lessons with Barbara!!
